For anything we ship, I want to know how we would tell if it stopped serving the people it is built for. In a regulated bank you are not allowed to answer that with a hunch.

I push back when a solution is not baked enough or has not been evaluated properly, and I support deployment when it is small enough and good enough to learn from in production.

Before industry I spent a decade in cognitive neuroscience, studying how people perceive and decide when the evidence is faint.
